This is an exciting opportunity for Sourcing Managers #TN088 in Nashville, Tennessee

Your impact will happen in these and other ways:

  • Manage the day-to-day procurement operations of the purchased finished portfolio.

  • Promote alignment of purchasing strategy with business unit and supply chain goals.

  • Closely interact with suppliers and internal stakeholders (Purchasing Manager, Quality, Engineering, Supply, and Finance).

  • Drive continuous improvement across the end-to-end supply chain, enabling high service levels to company’s distribution centers.

  • Perform Supply Chain Management by interfacing between sourcing manager, suppliers, and supply chain operations to solve and prevent assigned category supply issues.

  • Perform project/transition management including New Product Introduction (NPI) by developing transition requirements that meet the needs of inbound supply, communicating material availability and supply risks to appropriate transition stakeholders.

  • Manage supplier relationships by conducting regular supplier review meetings using performance metrics and supplier scorecards that include data related to service levels, quality, and cost.

  • Maintain stakeholder engagement by building relationships and ensuring that stakeholders understand the purchasing and buying processes.

  • Establish capacity planning with suppliers to support company business objectives.

  • Apply a wide variety of analytical tools and processes such as Quality Management including conducting Corrective and Preventive Action on a regular basis to complete key projects and solve complex problems.

  • Identify, plan, and implement continuous improvement opportunities within the supply chain.

  • Lead and work with associates and Sourcing Specialists for processing engineering releases to take appropriate purchasing actions, such as updating necessary new product program tracking information, including Bill of Materials (BOM) and costs.

  • Provide active feedback and deliver recommendations for training and development opportunities among staff members.

Required Education, Licenses or Certifications

  • Positions require a Master’s degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Logistics, or related field and three years of experience as a Sourcing Specialist, Supply Chain or Project Manager, Procurement or Customer Engineer, or related position.

  • Alternatively, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Logistics, or related field and five years of experience as a Sourcing Specialist, Supply Chain or Project Manager, Procurement or Customer Engineer, or related position

JOB SITE: Nashville, Tennessee

WORK HOURS: 40 hours/week - 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Compensation and Benefits

Base hourly rate commensurate with experience plus bonus.
