TriStar Skyline Medical Center is currently looking for a Ultrasound Technologist- PRN.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Ultrasonographer will demonstrate an understanding of cross-section human anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology to obtain optimal ultrasound studies. Will constantly evaluate accuracy and quality of scan results. The Ultrasonographer will maintain knowledge in all facets of performing the optimal ultrasound scan. This includes pertinent clinical history and related diagnostic procedures, ultrasound physics and instrumentation, normal anatomy and pathological variants. The Ultrasonographer will be competent in production, use recognition and analysis of ultrasound images and patterns used for patient diagnosis and treatment. He/she will maintain knowledge about high-frequency sound waves and other diagnostic techniques for medical purposes. The Ultrasonographer will assist the radiologist in the completion of intricate ultrasound examinations, including a range of tissue biopsies and fluid drainages. The Ultrasonographer is the primary liaison between patients and departmental physicians and other members of the support team.

Graduation from an accredited education program in Ultrasound.
ARDMS – Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer-REQUIRED
RVT - Registered Vascular Technologist-REQUIRED or within 6 months of hire date
1 year post-graduate experience
Experience in the use of Doppler and Pulse Doppler
American Heart Association BLS certification required.
Within 12 months of hire date, must be registered in Abdomen and Breast
