The Telephone/Mobile Device Specialist will Develop, implement and manage Mobile Device Management (MDM) and wired telephone engineering upgrades and programming of new systems. Coordinate and lead external stakeholder communications with outside agencies like Defense Metropolitan Area Service Desk (DMATS), Government Services Agency (GSA).

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop network Telecom Design Packages including detailed implementation project plans and procedures for the implementation of large scale MACS and/or for the implementation of new systems.

  • Develop and implement Mobile Device Management strategies and procedures.

  • Manage quality assurance testing procedures on new products as well as existing hardware

  • Analyze drawings and specifications developed by other Government Agencies and/or outside vendors.

  • Enhance customer reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to the customer.

  • Perform surveys for large moves/adds.

  • Coordinate with outside vendors to process, track and close requests for long haul services.

  • Manage and support telephone moves, adds, and changes.

  • Mentor and train junior staff.

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

  • 3 years or more of Telephone Communications Engineering and/or Mobile Device Management (MDM) or related experience required.

  • Experience using Army Message Handling System (AMHS) highly preferred.

  • Education or related training may be used in lieu of experience.

  • Possess Baseline and Full Computing Environment Certifications for IAT-II IAW DoD 8570.01-M and BBP 05-PR-M-000. The expiration date on certifications must be at least 90 days out from hire date.

  • Ability to communicate professionally through all types of media with associates, management, contractors, and vendors (both written and oral),

  • Possess and maintain a valid state operator's license.

  • Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness

  • Must have strong work ethic, be well organized, and reliable.

  • Ability to occasionally work after hours and/or on-call support.

  • Ability to meet minimum security clearance requirements.
