Marsh & McLennan Commercial Lines Service Manager in New Berlin, Wisconsin

Position Summary: Responsible for overseeing all commercial lines department operations and supervising the commercial lines service staff, including the development, implementation and monitoring of performance standards, training programs, corporate initiatives, compliance reporting, and recruiting needs. These responsibilities are in addition to the individual’s normal account management duties. Essential Job Functions: Account Management: Assist producers in servicing the needs of their clients including all tasks involved in the life cycle of an account. Department Management: Recruiting & Development - • Identify staffing needs and communicate needs to upper management on an ongoing basis. • Partner with HR for candidate selection including interviews, job testing, and evaluations. • Onboard new team members overseeing training and development in alignment with department and professional goals. Supervise Account Management Team - • Coordinate daily schedules, PTO, remote workers, and off-site educational needs for service team to ensure that the office is adequately staffed during normal business hours. • Assist colleagues with coverage questions, client-related service issues, and carrier communications as needed. • Coordinate various department projects including oversight of any compliance related matters. Manage Department Operations and Procedures - • Oversee use of systems and programs used in the department including the client data base and document management system • Ensure that all procedures are being uniformly adhered to and data is correctly entered into those systems, including overseeing data cleanup as needed. • Conduct monthly department meetings. Perform other tasks or projects as needed/assigned. Qualifications

Property & Casualty insurance license.

Minimum 4-6 years commercial insurance experience.

Ability to troubleshoot, solve problems, and identify solutions.

Ability to work well with people in a fast paced, team environment, and to communicate effectively at all levels.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a proven ability to establish relationships.

High level of comfort with being a final decision maker.

Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Physical ability to conduct travel. NEW008A2-en
