Deloitte Transactions and Business Analytics LLP seeks a Advisory Senior Consultant in New York, NY.

Work You ll Do

Help to identify and evaluate complex business process and technology risks. Understand clients' business environment and basic risk management approaches. Assist in preparing project plans and weekly status reports. Coordinate the utilization of people, processes, and technologies to improve effectiveness and help manage costs. Contribute to engagement planning and ensure that products/deliverables meet contract/work plans. Identify, measure, manage, monitor, review, and report on risks. Integrate and manage risk and compliance-related activities. Assume responsibility for small components of engagements. Deliver services that meet task leader specifications.



  • Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).

  • Eighteen months of experience developing, implementing, and monitoring AML compliance systems.

  • Experience must include eighteen months of:

  • Utilizing multiple database management systems, including Microsoft SQL Server, Teradata SQL, and Audit Command Language;

  • Working with modeling tools, including SAS, Python, and R;

  • Creating customized visualization tools using Tableau and Spotfire;

  • Developing and implementing ETL data transfers to integrate unstructured and complex data into standardized format according to changing standards;

  • Translating complicated fraud detection problems into statistical prediction models to highlight historical exceptions, improve the accuracy of the demand prediction for clients, and predict future fraud;

  • Creating adjustable risk assessment processes to improve accuracy and efficiency to identify opportunities to reduce risk;

  • Configuring and managing SQL databases (data migration, access controls, optimization, and performance monitoring); and

  • Mentoring and coaching junior team members, including quality control and assistance with preparing project plans, budget, and timelines for implementation.

  • Position requires 80% travel.
