Associate Client Advisor We are seeking an experienced Associate Client Advisor to join our Client Service Team. The Associate Client Advisor will be responsible for client service on a large book of EH&B business including complex and priority accounts across various industries or specialties. E ssential Duties & Responsibilities Supports the Client Service Team with the renewal process and daily client service. Works directly with Client Service Team to provide a high level of client support in response to client requests and needs, act as liaison with carriers. Directs and implements the client service strategy for managed accounts and growth areas, leveraging an in-depth understanding of market needs and expectations, trends and internal product and service offerings. Studies and is proficient in EH&B Wellness strategies- works with clients and markets to develop and implement appropriate plans. Finalizes and maintains client and carrier spreadsheets in accordance with internal requirements and client requests. Prepares, coordinates and at times presents materials for the enrollment process and other formal client presentations. Works with carrier representatives to coordinate activity for a smooth implementation of new plans. Coordinates Administrative Installation with insurance carrier and participate in installation meetings. Develops the project plan for the overall client service work and monitors progress ensuring timeframes are effectively planned and high-quality products or solutions successfully delivered. Acts as liaison for client to research and resolve coverage, claim and administrative problems. Offers technical advice to clients and colleagues; makes informed recommendations leveraging product expertise and a comprehensive review of account needs and risks. Responds to client and carrier questions in a timely manner, requesting assistance from others on the Client Service Team if needed. Keeps current on account issues, industry and market trends and develops growth strategy for targeted accounts, industries or specialties to ensure appropriate solutions are marketed and proposed to target new buyer and business expansion with existing clients. Ensures the client data is accurate and current upon each renewal and throughout the policy period. Prepares files and other records needed by Marsh & McLennan. Develops good relationships with others on the Client Service Team. Responsible for maintaining and preserving relationships and ensuring overall service needs are met, addressing escalated issues and miscellaneous concerns to remain in positive standing and preserve credibility. Co-works with client Executives on presentation materials for prospective clients. Attends meetings and presents the Marsh EH&B client service model, as specifically designed to support the prospective client. Maintains the professional standards established by Marsh & McLennan when working with clients. Provides back up to other Client Service colleagues as needed. Shares information with Client Service colleagues and others to create a good network of information within the Department. Attends monthly internal and external meetings as requested. Handles special projects upon request. Attends and participates frequently in industry events and conferences to build up a strong professional network, maintain proximity to the relevant market and represent the Company as a thought leader. Keeps up to date on and is proficient in EH&B state and federal compliance issues. Coordinates Welfare Form 5500 preparation with preparer, internal client executives and clients. Education and/or Experience Successful candidate will be a service oriented individual with high personal standards and a hands-on work style. This position requires an individual who is comfortable working at a varying pace, managing multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously This position interacts with and provides service to internal associates and has contact with external vendors and clients. The Benefits Analyst must be positive and approachable, and work effectively with diverse personalities. In addition, the following is required unless otherwise noted: Must possess a current understanding of health and welfare plan benefits and carriers acquired through 3 – 5 years of experience providing group health and benefits service preferably at a brokerage or carrier or performing in a benefit specialist role with a Human Resource department of a large corporation. Bachelor degree required. Maintain a valid, unrestricted Accident and Health License and meet the continuing education requirements. Maintain a valid Driver’s License and dependable transportation. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint to include professional work experience creating tables, charts, graphs, pivot tables and formulas. Math skills are required to perform basic arithmetic, calculate percentages and amounts based on a percentage increase/decrease Above average analyzing, problem solving and planning/organizational techniques are essential. Work Environment & Physical Demands Ability to use computer keyboard and sit in a stationary position for extended periods as well as the use of office equipment such as fax and copy machines, and telephones.
