Description
Use machinelearning techniques, visualizations, statistical analysis, etc. to gain insightinto various data sets – some of which are readily available, and some of whichyou create and curate yourself (using technology such as Python, Pandas,Hadoop, Hive, or Spark)
Research, design,prototype, and possibly deploy new algorithmic product features based onbusiness needs
Collaborate withteam members, both to build out specific projects and to continuously teach andlearn new technology and techniques
Apply deep,creative, rigorous thinking to solve broad technical and/or business problems
Communicatefindings and solutions clearly to a variety of audiences, e.g. writing clear,comprehensive specs for engineers or explaining algorithmic concepts to productmanagers
Actively seek out abroad understanding of the Xandr platform, product, and value propositionand align design efforts with that context
Work independentlywith minimal supervision but high accountability
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degreein statistics, pure or applied mathematics, operations research, machinelearning, or other highly quantitative field
2-4 years ofexperience working with large data sets in a business context experience withmachine learning techniques a plus
Proficiency withSQL and at least one other common scripting or compiled programming language(Python, Java, and/or Scala a plus)
Track record ofsolving complex, non-routine problems
Hands-on attitudetoward problem-solving, including a willingness to dig into terabytes of dataand quickly construct tools or models
Aptitude for divinginto learning new theory and new technology
Strong written andverbal communication skills
Abilityto work in a highly interactive, collaborative, fluid environment
