Work you ll doAs a Deloitte Consulting Benefits Communication Senior Manager in the Actuarial, Rewards, and Analytics practice of Deloitte s Human Capital group, you will perform the following job responsibilities: Lead the strategic development, implementation, and oversight of key growth initiatives within the Benefits Communications practice.Strategic cultivation of elements related to our go-to-market strategy; partnership with internal/external executive leadership to share these points of view in an effort to strengthen and grow our practice.Deliver presentations to other functional groups within the firm and engage in eminence building activities across Human Capital.Responsible for business development efforts, including internal and external relationship building and development of new engagements. Lead sales calls, assess needs, develop proposals and deliver presentations.Responsible for ensuring teams are successfully meeting client demands.Lead teams that will develop graphic identities and approaches; oversee relationships with outside vendors for design, production and distribution needs and on-line communications.Oversee strategic communication plans and campaigns addressing global human resources, benefits, compensation and change management issues.Develop targeted approaches to manage communications work streams.Manage teams utilizing a broad range of communication materials for a variety of audiences using multiple communication channels, including: print, multi-media, social networks and web.Participate in local and regional team-building events as well as national communications networking activities.Remain abreast of technical developments in employee benefits and compensation, and communication trends; participate in outside targeted industry organizations.Lead and contribute to practice development initiatives including culture building, internal community involvement, eminence, recruiting, whitepapers, etc.Act in a mentoring capacity to support the career development of colleagues. QualificationsRequired:Minimum eight (8) years of related work experience in a consulting or industry role (HR-related communications, change management or other communications experience), with at least two (2) years of relevant experience in an external consulting roleMinimum four (4) years of experience leading multiple project teams simultaneously on relevant engagements, with a minimum of two (2) years of experience leading virtual project teamsDemonstrated knowledge of employee benefits, compensation and human resource programs; specialization in benefits communications with a deep knowledge of on-line, print and video communication channelsProven experience in business development in support of related specialty areasProven project management and delivery experience, including budget oversight and staffing of project teams including time managementBachelors degreeProficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and WordAbility and willingness to travel 60-80% of the timePreferred:CEBS certificationAdvanced degree in related specialization areaPrevious experience mentoring, training and developing junior members of the team; experience in employee performance reviewsDemonstrated interest in a profession in Human Capital work through professional organizations, coursework, certifications, conference attendance, etc.Demonstrated professional success in the communications field through leadership involvement in related organizations and through the accumulation of professional communications awardsWillingness to make an avid commitment to the growth of the Benefits Communications practice within Deloitte Human CapitalStrong executive presence, interpersonal skills, and ability to cultivate professional relationshipsSignificant oral and written communication skills, with strong business acumenStrong work ethic and drive for personal and professional growthAbility to work well and successfully lead others in a primarily virtual-based team environmentCreative, writing, editing, organizational, strategic planning, and analytical skillsSound attention to detail, time management and follow throughHow you ll growAt Deloitte, our professional development plan focuses on helping people at every level of their career to identify and use their strengths to do their best work every day.
