CBRE Business Analyst in New York, New York

The purpose of this position is to provide the research, data mining/analysis, reporting and interpretation of Facilities Management operational performance metrics. Position will report to the Director, Facilities Management operations coordinating reporting, service line analytics, Budget to actual financial analysis and benchmarking service metric across a portfolio of 75 properties & 11 million square feet of Owner occupied real estate.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Generates reviews and understands reports. Uses aggregate data from multiple sources (CMMS systems Facility financial systems, capital project management systems), to assist in creating a complete analysis,improvement and/or recommendation and efficiency improvement plan.

Reviews the accuracy of information provided, responds to requests from management, FM teams and service providers.

Work individually and/or within a group to develop standards/schedules in the area of (Janitorial, Repairs & Maintenance, service delivery, project reporting, facility inspections & Asset replacement) across a large geographic region to standardize processes, procedures, reporting & communications protocols.

Identifies opportunities & develops action plans for improvements by/among the Facilities Management teams, other Functional teams, contracted service providers, clients and contractors.

May coordinate involvement of personnel from other departments and information technology groups to facilitate successful project implementations.

May act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for key systems/processes in Facility Management team’s day-to-day work functions.

Specific duties may include but are not limited to:

Develop & reporting of (Internal & External) benchmarks and performance metric.

Weekly, Monthly and periodic operational and project related reporting

Coordinate region wide initiatives within Facilities management such as: Standardization, Compliance policies, process improvements, Organizational updates, Customer satisfaction improvements & operational changes.

Support Facility Management leadership on coordination and aggregation of cross regional information and activities. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES No formalsupervisory responsibilities in this position. May provide informalassistance such as technical guidance and/or training to coworkers. May coordinate and assigntasks to co-workers within a work unit and/or project, as determined by the FM Director.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from 4-year college or university required. Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 2 years of related experience and/or training.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE

Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts and/or commissions. Conducts basic financial analysis.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES

Intermediate experience in MS Office Products (Excel, Access, Power Point, Word, etc). Heavy emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint. Ability to use query and report generation tools.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY

Decisions made with understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Responsible for setting own project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to coworkers and supervisor.
