CBRE Business Application Developer in New York, New York

Job Responsibilities

  1. Manage the entire application development life cycle for CBRE NY Transaction Management Hub’s new and existing technology products that emphasize on real estate process management and data analytics,

a. Comprehend and interpret complex business requirements

b. Hands on design of the application

c. Hands on coding of the application

d. Documentation and testing of the application

e. Operation and maintenance of the application

  1. Strive to produce pixel-perfect robust client deliverables for our Fortune 500 clients.

  2. Discern work priorities and meet deadlines with little or no supervision.

  3. Possess fantastic customer service ethic and provide guidance and counsel to line of business owners, stakeholders and top leadership in the proposed application solutions as needed.

  4. Give product demonstrations to prospective clients and training sessions to existing clients and team members, as needed,

  5. Direct the continuing review of present systems and methodologies, as well as the formulation of new and revised systems; determine appropriate changes to effect improvements, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency by weighing alternatives and considering service and business implications of decisions related to internal and/or external software applications/tools.

  6. Maintain a current working knowledge of technological changes and innovations in application development, project management and related areas.

  7. Formally supervise, in a matrix setting, individual off-shore employees within a single functional or operational area; collaborate to prepare and deliver their annual performance appraisal; mentor and coach them to further develop competencies; lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or related field, 2-3 years of work experience in software application development and project management, Working knowledge of Object Oriented Programming concepts and best coding practices, Good understanding of Salesforce.com including custom development using lightning (Aura framework), SLDS, visual force, apex classes (including unit tests), triggers, SOQL, workflows, page layouts, validation rules, data management (relationships, reports, data loader, etc.), profile based security and force.com sites, Hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Java, C++, SQL, Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel (look-ups, pivot tables etc.), and Excellent communication skills.
