Liquid Products business recently hired a senior head of Treasury trading desk, as part of the plan to increase Treasury trading business. The new head requires a completely new set of functionality related to pricing, risk and P&L Explanation methodology delivered to support these goals. This results in the need for an additional senior technologist with deep understanding of treasuries pricing and risk methodologies and their real time system implementation.

This role will establish a close and effective relationship with the desk so the requirements and strategic direction are well understood and articulated to the development team this role will lead.

This role will also be a key contributor to technical direction and a member of Liquid Products technology leadership team. The team’s direction has been to design real time pricing and risk systems, retire old ones and work with other teams to integrate with trading workflows and customer quoting systems.

The role requires an ability to work closely with Quantitative team and familiarity with Principal Component Analysis and PnL Explanation implementation.

The role will need to ensure any functionality and software delivered to the desk is robust by leading the team in test-first/automated test approach.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of application development and implementation experience

  • 7+ years of securities industry experience

  • 7+ years of capital markets experience

  • 7+ years of pricing or risk systems development experience

  • 5+ years of leadership or management experience

  • 7+ years of Java experience

  • 4+ years of Agile experience

  • A BS/BA degree or higher

Desired Qualifications:

  • Advanced experience in capital markets business and processes

  • Basic knowledge and understanding of mathematical modeling

  • Basic knowledge and understanding of SEC, FNRA, and international regulations for building technological solutions

  • A BS/BA degree or higher in science or technology

  • Knowledge and understanding of bond math

  • Ability to act as a subject matter expert

  • 1+ year of Big Data experience

  • 2+ years of Open Source experience

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
