Marsh & McLennan Compensation Analyst in New York, New York

Marsh is seeking candidates for the following position to be based in the New York City office: Compensation Analyst What can you expect? As a Compensation Analyst, you’ll be a colleague that thrives in fast-paced, high growth culture that values strategic communication, teamwork and results. You’ll need to be self-motivated and detail oriented with a strong orientation to data analytics and project management. In this role, you’ll manage, manipulate and interpret data into usable information to impact pay decisions and the direction and strategy of pay for the firm. You will gather information from various sources and interpret patterns and trends and will analyze employees’ experience and responsibilities, by doing comparative analysis by region and industry, and by taking the company's financial performance into consideration. You’ll report to the Global Compensation Programs Leader and be part of a 20+ person Global Total Rewards team. Top candidates will be meticulous, have sound business acumen and understanding of compensation analysis. We’ll count on you to: Use your expert analytical skills combined with your strong communication skills to present compensation insights Perform analysis on the effectiveness and competitiveness of compensation programs, and model potential impact of alternatives Assist in the administration of the annual and mid-year review cycles Collaborate with HR Business Partners in the administration of the job architecture Participate in annual compensation surveys Review salary survey participation data including audits, validation, benchmarking reviews and making recommendations Level and map job roles to our compensation structure Conduct job evaluations and market assessment using market data and internal evaluations You’ll need to have: Bachelor's degree in mathematics, economics, business, statistics or finance Strong data analysis skills and can effectively present those findings to different audiences Advanced knowledge of Excel (e.g. working knowledge or ability to learn: vlookups, nested functions, pivot tables, charts/graphs, etc.) We’d love to see: Ability to work with stakeholders to find the right questions as well as their answers A highly collaborative style, and ability to work as part of a team as well as independently Ability to adapt quickly and continue providing the highest level of client service in a fast-paced, change-oriented environment Marsh is a global leader in insurance broking and risk management.
