Marsh & McLennan Corporate Strategy Manager in New York, New York

MMC’s Strategy & Corporate Development group is responsible for exploring opportunities in partnership with our business leaders, and sourcing and executing M&A transactions across all of MMC’s Operating Companies – Marsh, Guy Carpenter, Mercer and Oliver Wyman. The ten-person group is also responsible for driving key internal strategic corporate projects. As a Corporate Strategy Manager within the Strategy & Corporate Development team, your primary responsibilities will include developing strategic frameworks and thought leadership, conducting primary & secondary research, data analysis, financial modeling, and presentations. Additional responsibilities will include: Serve as thought partner to MMC Strategy & Corporate Development senior leadership Conduct outside-in analysis of market opportunities through primary and secondary research (including executive interviews, market surveys, and analyst reports) Conduct market sizing, customer demand analysis, market structure / segmentation, competitive assessment, and trend analysis Conduct business model analysis, make-or-buy analysis, and margin driver analysis on potential investments Structure portfolio analyses and develop meaningful insights and recommendations Develop structured and impactful presentation materials for discussions with senior leadership Qualifications: 8+ years of strategy experience Experience at a top-tier management consulting firm, investment bank, private equity firm and/or in a corporate strategy department at a Fortune 500 company preferred Ability to structure ambiguity Ability to work independently and develop ideas and structures Successful record of project management Demonstrated analytical ability and problem-solving capabilities, including strong financial modeling skills Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Excellent verbal and written communication ability Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills Ability to work well under pressure, juggle multiple tasks, and work efficiently against tight deadlines Marsh & McLennan (NYSE: MMC) is the world's leading professional services firm in the areas of risk, strategy and people.
