Corporate Risk helps all Wells Fargo businesses identify and manage risk. The team focuses on several key risk types, including conduct, credit, financial crimes, information security, interest rate, liquidity, market, model, operational, regulatory compliance, reputation, strategic, and technology risk.

The group provides leadership, enhances communications, assists with problem identification and solutions, and shares best practices. In addition, the group provides an enterprise-wide view of risk, assists management and our Board of Directors in identifying and monitoring risks that may affect multiple lines of business, and takes appropriate action when business activities exceed the risk tolerance of the company.

CRS portfolio risk management group is seeking a high caliber risk management consultant to help drive customer focused analytics and credit policy and strategy development. The candidate must have deep analytical and problem solving skills and be able to devise strategies and solutions to improve portfolio strategy and profitability.

The qualified candidate will be part of a highly skilled and motivated team working to achieve the following objectives:

  • Transform data into impactful business insights, strategy recommendations, and implementation plans to improve key performance metrics for the business

  • Monitor and identify portfolio trends or areas of opportunity for program improvement and innovation

  • Explore additional data sources and next generation analytical tools to improve portfolio management strategies and programs

  • Collaborate with business partners and external clients for strategy deployment and implementation

Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

  • Lead analyses and strategy development that maximize profits and/or asset growth and minimize credit and/or operating losses and other risks for Credit Card, and Co-brand Credit Card products

  • Develop analytics approach, statistical and financial models in support of strategy development and optimization

  • Identify new data sources and leverage next generation analytical tools for use in account management risk strategies

  • Work effectively with cross functional groups for strategy development, process enhancement, and customer experience improvement opportunities

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of risk experience

  • 6+ years of credit risk experience

  • 2+ years of financial industry experience

  • 3+ years of SQL or SAS experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • A BS/BA degree or higher

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
