ThermoFisher Scientific Production Chemicals and Services, a business within ThermoFisher Scientific, is an extension of our customers' production chemical supply chain management and process liquid manufacturing teams, offering customers a range of supply chain solutions, a broad array of portfolio chemicals from 3 rd party suppliers, customized repackaging of dry powder chemicals, as well as custom liquid chemical manufacturing. The Director, Product Management - Self-Manufactured Products is responsible for developing, executing, and continuously improving the production chemical product and service portfolio to optimize customer value and achievement of the Production Chemicals and Services value proposition. This role is ultimately responsible for achieving the annual revenue and margin targets, as well as the longer-term strategic plan financial targets. The director will manage a team of product managers, and will facilitate collaboration with quality, sales, marketing, and operations to achieve financial and customer experience objectives. She/he will work with both internal and external manufacturing partners to deliver high quality products on time and that meeting customer requirements. Further, She/ he is responsible for developing long-term product roadmaps, financial plans, and CAPEX requirements to meet the long-term product and growth objectives. Lastly, he or she is responsible for leading the Solution & Portfolio Management department and growing and developing team members in a manner reflective of ThermoFisher Scientific's core values.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proven Product Management experience in the BioProduction and Life Sciences markets.

  • Deep and comprehensive knowledge of the BioProduction market and use cases for production chemicals.

  • Proven ability to understand key drivers of customer need and product/ solution adoption.

  • Proven ability to develop products, services, and/or solutions to solve customer needs.

  • Proven Project Management skills and ability to drive complex projects/ products to completion, on-time and on-budget.

  • Excellent interpersonal, customer orientation and problem solving, can-do attitude.

  • Proven ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional leadership.

  • Strong written/oral communication and presentation skills with effective strategies for interacting with a wide variety of audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or advanced degree preferred, Bachelor's degree and 7+ years Product Management/ Product Marketing experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in business or equivalent experience in appropriate specialty.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation experience to large and diverse audiences.

  • Expert user of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
