Manage risk and provide oversight of Electronic Trading Systems and the associated policies, procedures, guidelines and controls applicable to Electronic Trading Technology within Global Markets

Electronic Trading is essentially a financial technology business with success closely aligned to the successful implementation of technology. The dynamic nature and growth of electronic trading results in a considerable amount of technology change being perceived as ‘business as usual’. The combination of the volume and rate of change as well as the utilization of technology to implement key controls (i.e. automated and preventative) results in technology (Electronic Trading Systems) being a critical contributor to the risk profile of Electronic Trading.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish Electronic Trading System Control Framework for Electronic Trading in Global Markets inclusive of Key Risk Indicators.

  • Build strong relationships and effective interactions with key stakeholders across IT, Electronic Trading, Quant Strategy Group, Legal & Regulatory Compliance Office

  • Ensure completeness, integrity, efficiency and effectiveness of the Electronic Trading Systems Control Framework and related SDLC Policy, Standards, Process Handbook, Procedures, Guidelines and Templates.

  • Increase effectiveness of the Electronic Trading Systems Control Framework on a continuing basis through measurement and reporting of process adoption and overall efficiency

  • Lead the ongoing analysis of process feedback and conduct frequent lessons learned on the Electronic Trading Systems Control Framework and adherence across projects, department initiatives and production changes

  • Drive continuous process improvements and tuning of the Electronic Trading Systems Control Framework through this analysis.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent field

  • 3 years of process / standards definition, assurance and continuous improvement

  • 10 years’ experience working with Software/Solution Delivery Lifecycle for Electronic Trading in a process management or governance/oversight capacity

  • Experience with regulatory/risk/compliance control work

  • Strong, clear and concise verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to build positive, collaborative working relationships

  • Ability to influence, coach and mentor technical professionals

General Job Description

Responsible for assisting in the evaluation of the effectiveness of the Electronic Trading Risk Program within a large or complex sub-LOB. Responsible for execution of one or more of the following: Complete Electronic Trading Risk Assessments. Challenge and advise on LOB/ECF/Region Electronic Trading Risk KRI's. Challenge LOB/ECF/Region Risk and Controls Self-Assessments. Participate in Scenario Analysis and monitor gap closure. Assess effectiveness of LOB/ECF/Region Electronic Trading Governance. Identification and escalation of emerging Electronic Trading risks. Participate & challenge within LOB/ECF/Region Risk/Control Electronic Trading governance routines. Act as the ambassador of the Electronic Trading risk culture to LOB/ECF/Region. Develop and direct staff. May direct staff. Incumbents typically have over 5+ years of relevant electronic trading and LOB/ECF/Region experience.
