We are looking to bring in an experienced and savvy content editor as Manager, Internal Communications Editorial & Strategy
acting as the central hub to decide how, when, and where information is shared with the company. All 366,000 of us.
This is an opportunity to think creatively for new and exciting ways to share information through Slack, our intranet, social networks, all-company meetings, and more. In this role, you'll own of the overall content mix, calendaring and delivery channels for IBMers as defined by distribution profiles (enterprise-wide, geography, business or function).
You’ll also lead a dedicated team of writers, as well as collaborate across multiple teams to inform, inspire, and engage employees through clear and consistent communications that are aligned with our culture, strategy, and guiding principles. This role provides great exposure to the ins and outs of our business, while seeing firsthand how we cultivate a positive and engaged culture across all of our global offices.

Spearhead editorial topics and calendars; build effective distribution paths to reach 366,000 IBMers.
Guide a team of direct and indirect content providers; instill leading-edge communications while driving consistency and a flow of continuous information to employees.
Develop metrics and analytics dashboards for content delivery for continuous improvement and understanding employee advocacy.
Integrate with cross-functional content teams to bring to life new stories told with consistency.
Build content in various formats, including longer-form articles, Web and e-mail content, promotional pieces, video scripts, infographics and social sharing elements.
Generate new ideas around industry-related topics.
Location: Astor Place, New York City. Please note we are not able to offer relocation assistance.
This role requires the ability to work in the U.S. without current or future need for IBM sponsorship.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
10+ years of writing, journalism, or communications experience, preferably providing strategic and/or internal communications (a background in tech would be ideal).
Proven work experience writing and flawlessly across myriad channels and formats.
Expert in integrated communications techniques across social media.
Show strong leadership and a reciprocal spirit.
Fluent in English.
Organized, with strong attention to detail.
Preferred Tech and Prof Experience
Extensive knowledge of researching, writing, editing and reviewing communications for internal audiences.
Executive presence and political savvy to work with executives and leaders across the organization.
