What you’ll be doing...

We are shaping the ongoing future of how the Wireless business uses media and consumer connections to drive engagement and growth. We are seeking a seasoned Media leader to join our passionate team, to help build the future of media for Verizon. You will partner with the Wireless Business Unit and the rest of the Central Marketing Organization to drive awareness of and demand for Wireless products and services.

With amazing properties and sponsorships like Apple iPhone, Google Pixel, NFL, World Cup, and many more, and rich assets, technologies and data at our fingertips, the Wireless Media Team is poised for continued innovation and best in class media activation. As a member of this exciting team, this role will be responsible for shaping the media strategy and driving the activation of key wireless initiatives. Key responsibilities include:

  • Partner with business product and promotion leaders to define the strategic role of media for business objectives.

  • Lead strategy development for large scale media initiatives.

  • Be the cross-team leader, integrating all aspects of media to define and execute campaigns (Social, Media Analytics, Sponsorship).

  • Collaborate with Integrated Marketing, Consumer Insights, Marketing Effectiveness and Creative teams to deliver across key projects.

  • Lead media agency relationship, provide clear briefing and direction.

  • Manage cross-team delivery of campaign reporting, insights and optimization.

  • Identify and implement innovation and thought leadership within campaigns and across the Wireless Media Team.

  • Support budget management including reconciliation and invoice approval.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Client or Media Agency experience within a brand awareness and direct response capacity.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.

  • 5+ years of consumer marketing/media experience, with a focus on strategy.

  • Expertise in developing data driven media strategies.

  • Experience collaborating with creative teams for joint, idea led media plans.

  • Channel agnostic mindset with experience developing national and local campaigns, special emphasis on digital and TV.

  • Strong digital media acumen, including experience and knowledge of programmatic, geo hyper- targeting, retargeting.

  • Ability to understand business strategies and correlate business outcomes to media actions.

  • Passion for driving results and innovating along the way.

  • Ability to manage through ambiguity and balance multiple dynamic priorities.

  • Influential storytelling skills, verbally and written.

  • Expert communication and partnership skills.

  • Analytical rigor skills.

  • Effective project management and execution skills.
