Manages a team that is responsible for identifying relevant new business opportunities and designing "go-to-market" plans to deliver measurable and significant revenues. Consistently meets with potential customers and current customers to build pipeline.
Manages, through managers and directors, a team of business development representatives for a territory/region. The team is actively and frequently customer facing, providing the value proposition to business or org leaders, qualifying opportunities, and selling the value of the oracle solution. Provides operations management of lead qualification functions. Contributes to strategic and tactical planning for the division. Responsible for coaching, performance management, and career development of staff. Participates in the recruiting process and makes hiring decisions. Manages budget.
Experience qualifying prospects and customers; understanding of the sales cycle process. Strong leadership skills. Strong Oracle product knowledge. BA/BS preferred. Experience managing staff. Assist in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interact across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. Able to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations is important. Direct and ensure the implementation of operational policies through subordinate managers. Interact internally and externally with executive management involving negotiation of difficult matters to influence policy. Functional expertise and broad company knowledge.

Evangelize and lead planning and execution of sales programs for the division with business development executives, product marketing, field marketing and sales leadership within Oracle s CX domain.
Lead a team that project manages activities related to CX market analysis, competitive activity, and identification of customer needs.
Lead a team that Partners with Account, Technology, and Application sales representatives to launch and manage sales programs to drive and accelerate pipe.
Lead a team that provides specific industry or product expertise to facilitate the closing of deals within sales representatives territory.
Lead a team that Interacts with sales team to architect the solution, and develop and execute solution strategies for market.
The CX Strategic Business Development team presents/demonstrates solution to high level clients and industry conference attendees. May provide training to field sales on industry/solutions.
Builds and maintains a network and up to date with specific CX industry or product knowledge.
Provide direction and mentoring to others.
Manages group KPIs, curates and consolidates seller feedback to drive program optimization.
Evangelized or led CX portfolio Sales, Services or Marketing for a Cloud-base company.
Successful experience in building, expanding or integrating a strategic business development team. Responsible for coaching, performance management, and career development of staff. Participates in the recruiting process and makes hiring decisions.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization.
A minimum of 15 years, sales programs, sales leadership, marketing or business management experience preferred.
Subject matter expertise in CX.
Thorough understanding of Oracle business application products and services.
Working knowledge of a business development or sales programs role.
Excellent communication, negotiating, and closing skills with prospects and customers.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Strong quantitative, analytical, and conflict resolution ability.
BA/BS degree in related field.
Travel may be needed.
