Marsh & McLennan Project Manager in New York, New York

This role actively supports Mercer’s Multinational Client Group and When Women Thrive team globally by helping manage and execute key projects and initiatives. Multinational Client Group (MCG) was created in 2016 in recognition that multinational corporations are a tremendous growth opportunity for the firm. It is comprised of Global Consulting (M&A and legacy International Consulting Group), Global Client Managers, Mercer Premier, as well as Industry Verticals and When Women Thrive. Founded in 2014, When Women Thrive is Mercer's global research and solution platform designed to help organizations drive growth through the active and productive participation of their female workforce. This role will report to the MCG / WWT Chief of Staff and directly support the strategic engagements, stakeholder management, clients and critical work streams of the MCG Global Leader and leadership team.

This role will be focused on, but not limited to the following key areas:

Client Management

Analyze and develop collateral for the creation of intellectual capital for Global Leader’s key strategic meetings; manage the tracking and follow up of these interactions to ensure ROI Source and create client and senior level presentations, speeches and brand-aligned communications at direction of MCG Business Communication Leader

Internal Communication and Knowledge Management

Manage tracking and execution of the internal communication on behalf of MCG Leadership

Liaise with MCG Knowledge Specialist (KS) to ensure materials are properly posted, findable, and shared on Mercer Link (intranet)Helping encourage social participation in activity streams where appropriate

Colleague Engagement

Project Manage MCG Colleague Experience and various components including intranet content; communication with people champions; connecting with other mentoring, learning & development programs and activities across the firm.

Ensure critical touchpoints with MCG teams and Mercer leadership during office visits, etc.

Partnerships

Provide overall support for strategic partnerships/events (e.g. WEF, Stanford Longevity Center, Milken Institute, Harvard)

Plan and develop briefing materials, presentations and talking points for external events, such as client meetings, speaking engagements at internal leadership events, client facing industry events, WEF’s annual Davos event, and other events promoting gender parity and Mercer’s capabilities in the space

Research and assemble briefing packets for client visits and meetings (i.e. When Women Thrive, MCG related meetings) Project Management

Manage key projects and initiatives assigned by Global Leader.

Oversees commitments made by various key stakeholders on key initiatives and projects and ensures priorities are met

Partners with various key stakeholders, develops and implements project workstreams to promote strategic operating imperatives through various projects

Support the project management of signature events such as Davos, WWT conferences and Premier Client Program to ensure the MCG Leadership objectives are executed by the Mercer staff based on their roles and responsibilities

Strategic Planning

Collate and collect and prioritize internal and external engagement opportunities for MCG and WWT leadership to ensure strategic meetings and agendas for organizational and revenue priorities

Partner with MCG Chief of Staff and EA to ensure MCG and WWT’s strategic calendar planning with key clients - Prepare client/trip materials, including region/market/country economic and financial analysis, client meeting information, etc.

QualificationsRequirements:

BA/BS degree required; post-graduate degree in business or related field preferred

3-5 years project management experience in professional services/consulting environment

Excellent verbal and written communications skills with extensive experience creating presentations

Strong interpersonal, organization, business communication and time management skills

High level of initiative and ability to structure ambiguity

Demonstrated problem solving capabilities

Strong project management skills

Strong attention to detail and follow up skills

Ability to work well under pressure, juggle tasks and work efficiently against deadlines

Proficiency in Microsoft Office with demonstrated expertise in PowerPoint and Excel
