What you’ll be doing...
The Verizon Experience Team is evolving the Verizon customer experience across all channels and touchpoints through the design and implementation of innovative products and services that customers love.
As a Product Manager you will balance Business, Technology and Design priorities to deliver innovative product and service experiences. One in three Americans uses Verizon services, so your work will have meaningful impact at a massive scale.
The Senior Manager will lead a team of product managers who would each own different digital products. Your work will span the delivery process, from deeply understanding customer needs to defining the experience into user stories to help guide teams across the journey, ensuring products are technically feasible and scalable.
In addition to shaping the experience, you’ll build relationships between teams and champion user-centered design within the organization.
The Senior Manager will stakeholder with his/her peers across the various organizations to not only get buy-in, but also to build a relationship of trust.
Lead a team of product managers managing different digital products and services
Drive product strategy, stakeholder alignment, and business case development
Lead the development, prioritization, and ongoing management of product roadmaps through with key stakeholders
Provide direction, guidance, and translate business needs into requirements for designers, IT, and other key stakeholders. This might include performing analyses, defining requirements/user stories, working with teams to develop solutions to meet these requirements and to test and deliver experiences with the customer in mind
Build and maintain partnerships with stakeholders across all business units at Verizon (Verizon Consumer Group, Verizon Business Group, Verizon Media Group, IT, Finance, Security etc)
Update leadership team on the product roadmap status including dependencies that could impact deliverables along with recommended solutions
Serve as a trusted advisor across teams and the business on how an experience does/could manifest throughout the product
What we’re looking for...
What we’re looking for:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience
Even better if you have:
Experience in driving the vision of experience programs and/or partnership based programs.
Experience in managing concurrent projects in a fast-based, results-driven environment.
Knowledge in user experience design, visual design, or development.
Management experience with two or more direct reports.
Enthusiasm for high-level strategic planning and tactical daily execution.
Agile certification and/or experience working in an Agile product development methodology; experience in Jira system.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and trends, diagnose problems, and recommend action plans to resolve issues.
Willingness to travel.
