Location/ Division Information

The Chemical Analysis Division (CAD) provides a diverse mix of analytical instruments and associated services to a broad range of end user markets including Safety & Security, Environmental, Food Safety, Energy, Mining, Life Science Manufacturing and Recycling, to name a few. Its instruments are deployed in the field and on the line, in exciting environments where customers put a premium on robustness, reliability and ease of use. They allow them to make decisions where they operate and streamline their businesses. CAD is a complex division with a global footprint, broad product portfolio and diverse customer base.

This position is based remotely.

How will you make an impact?

This role includes responsibility for analysis, due diligence, planning, executing, and delivering savings through consolidation of sites, manufacturing product line transfers, and creation of more efficient operational strategies. The role will use project management and team leadership skills to drive projects through inception, implementation, and completion. The role must have the ability to interact with all levels of the organization, requires strong communication and leadership skills, coupled with operations and project management experience. This position will report directly to the Director of PMO for CAD.

What will you do?

  • Drive a multi-functional project team to complete site consolidations and manufacturing product line transfer opportunities

  • Present to divisional leadership consolidation and transfer plans, with supporting due diligence and financial analysis

  • Facilitate multi-site, cross functional project planning workouts

  • Develop cross functional relationships across the division to drive project alignment and progress

  • Drive organizational effectiveness in direct labor (DL) and indirect labor (IDL) for operations that are being transferred

  • Lead project teams at pitch and catch site (remote) locations to execute site consolidations and product transfers

  • Develop and lead approved project budgets including capital and restructuring budgets

  • Drive improvements in manufacturing processes post or pre transfer

How will you get here?

Requires a bachelor's degree in a business-related field

  • Requires a minimum of 7 years of solid experience in manufacturing and/or project management

  • Experience working with and leading multiple projects and teams simultaneously across a matrixed organization

  • Experience in a Lean Manufacturing Environment

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Expert level project management and change management skills

  • Experience working in a PMO framework

  • Ability to lead complex projects with a high attention to detail

  • Experience and proven executive-level reporting and presentations

  • Solutions oriented with a forward-focused mentality; see problems coming and develop strategic solutions

  • Customer-centric behaviors with the ability to build and drive strategic customer relationships, both internally and externally, national and internationally

  • Must be a creative problem solver and have the ability to function in a constantly evolving environment

  • Ability to influence others and partner cross functionally

  • Good understanding of Global Supply Chain solutions

  • Demonstrates strong eye for business and a bias for action

  • Ability to travel, on a global basis estimated at 25-30% annually based on the nature of the projects
