Job Summary
AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented and motivated Technical Leader/ Senior Project Manager for immediate employment in the New York, NY office.
The candidate will be in charge of all aspects of architectural design for transportation projects. Candidate will primarily be responsible for the overall quality of the deliverables and the correctness and code compliance for all the projects in the transportation business line.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Interacts and represents AECOM with outside clients, public sector agencies and authorities and contractors
Responsible for the Architectural – Transportation group technical design work
Responsible for project execution and delivery and meeting the standard of care in the profession

Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture
10+ years of related experience, which includes experience and skills in architectural design
Licensed / Registered Architect
Candidate must demonstrate sufficient skills and experience in Architectural Design and must have held a similar position or played a similar role for a minimum of 5 years
Must have a strong understanding of building systems
Good interpersonal, organizational and verbal and written communication skills.
Must have strong project management skills, including the ability to maintain project budgets and schedules, and delegate work to junior architects.
MS Office knowledge
Leadership and good presentation skills
Proven experience in the planning and design of transportation facilities
Proven expertise with NYC building code and regulations including, Zoning, ADA accessibility regulations, fire and egress requirements
Proven knowledge and expertise in completing construction documents and coordinating with all engineering trades and project stakeholders
Proven expertise and ability to mentor younger architects and oversee their work for completeness and accuracy
Expertise in architectural building systems and products
Must have good communication skills should be highly motivated and able to work with different personalities in difficult settings
The position requires a strong background and technical skills in Architectural detailing and design
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree in Architecture
15+ years of related experience, which includes experience and skills in architectural design
LEED accredited professional
Proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT
