SUMMARY

What is research like at CBRE Build? At CBRE Build, we practice user-centered design to the fullest, and research is key to our success. Our researchers take an active, leading role in all stages of product development by discovering customers’ needs, distilling them into actionable insights and telling their story to build empathy and understanding of our customers.

Our researchers are comfortable with prompts like “what are the most important unmet needs of a business owner looking for a space?”, “Describe and define the job of a space designer” or “what is the best name for this product?”.

As a leader, you will be building and shaping the research team and strategy at CBRE Build in support of our various product initiatives.

DAY TO DAY:

You are the voice of our customer and their biggest advocate in every meeting

Utilize best-practice research activities and invent novel ones to elicit our customers true reactions, wants and needs

Perform usability testing sessions with customers and distill your findings into actionable insights

Create shareable, digestible communications of research findings to inform and educate your team and the broader company

Translate business problems and success metrics to measurable KPI’s, and use quantitative tools to measure and report against them

Collaborate across product, design, engineering and leadership around user experience and customer empathy

Work across multiple product-lines in different cycles of development

Set up a recruiting pipeline for customer-interviews (phone, video, in-person)

Build and maintain a shared research library that promotes understanding of our customers and drives efficient use of research resources

Coach and provide feedback to other UX researchers, define a career path and growth for them Here’s what you have

SKILLS:

5+ years as a UX researcher working on SaaS products

Management experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in a related field. Master's degree in Human Computer Interaction psychology, anthropology or a related field is preferred. Typically has a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience. Consideration given to an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Proficiency in quantitative research methods and tools

Ability to conceive and execute novel research activities catered to specific context, audience and objective

Mastery in creating research deliverables such as journey maps, communique’s, usability reels, workflows

Highly collaborative, comfortable working across disciplines Bonus:
