Are you an allied health professional with a passion for wellness?
We are looking for an experienced Wellness Consultant to work directly with one of our customers,onsite at their office location in Manhattan, NY, with a focus on wellness programming to reduce health risk and medical costs, and encourage healthy lifestyles. This is a highly collaborative position working with the customer's benefits team and Aetna's account team with an opportunity to work with local and community resources as well as Aetna's clinical operations and clinical and analytic consulting teams.
Fundamental Components but not limited to the following:
-Knowledgeable on all aspects of the customers benefits program and how it is intended to support the customers broader approach to total rewards
-Assist in the development, coordination, management, and maintenance of wellness programming to reduce health risk, medical costs, and encourage healthy lifestyles within the customer population
-Recommend wellness solutions and services that align with the customers needs and help drive the desired results
-Assess wellness program results and discuss health plan performance with the customer to promote improved engagement in health and wellness programs
-Proactively share information about current national wellness and wellbeing initiatives
-Partner with Aetnas Plan Sponsor Insights clinical and analytic resources on program data analysis and identification of key drivers of results
-Liaison between Aetna, the Aetna account team, Aetna clinical operational team and the customer contacts to facilitate implementation and promotion of health coaching programs
-Identify local and community medical and wellness resources to incorporate into the customers population health strategy and locally augment Aetna clinical programs. (I.e. diabetes education locally, etc.)
-Support the customers benefits team in various wellness events to answer questions about wellness programs and encourage participation in available programs; coordinate referral to appropriate customer programs as necessary
-Excellent communication and presentation skills
-Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
-Clinician or allied health professional with national certification or licensure
-Strong background in employer health promotion and wellness
-Strong background and fundamental knowledge of the healthcare industry
-Knowledge of medical management products, programs and services
-Ability to establish highly collaborative relationships within and outside the organization
-Strong project management skills
The minimum level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Excellent opportunity to work directly with the benefits team leveraging wellness training and education, knowledge of wellness industry best practices, and experience with wellness initiatives. Wellness Consultant will be a member of Aetna's Plan Sponsor Insights team - working with MDs and clinical and analytic consultants - which is focused on understanding health dynamics and providing plan sponsors with plan performance insights.
