We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated individual to fill the position of Accounting/Payroll Clerk at our Manufacturing Facility located in Niagara Falls, New York.
Essential Job Duties:
Audits and verifies the accuracy of plant time and material invoices and freight bills.
Interfaces with vendors to resolve invoicing issues.
Supports corporate payroll function. Reviews payroll transactions daily. Assists employees with payroll related questions.
Completes various weekly and monthly overtime and inventory reports.
Updates various cost data on a monthly basis.
Enters contract engineering and security payroll data into Peoplesoft. Provides new contractor data to Time & Labor Group.
Performs various accounting functions during monthly close process.
Completes purchase requisitions for various plant activities.
Perform other accounting/administrative functions as assigned.
High School Graduate or GED required.
3 to 5 years accounting/payroll experience preferred.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
Ability to read, write and speak in English.
Additional Desired Qualifications:
- Good computer skills with a working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, SAP, and PeopleSoft are desirable.
