Oracle seeks an experienced Senior Sales Person to join its dynamic and growing Oracle Virtualization & Linux sales organization, covering Australia region - Public Sector Business. To leverage these relationships to sell Oracle Linux and Oracle VM. This person must demonstrate at least 7 years’ experience in developing and managing complex long term relationships and sales cycles backed up by industry recognized sales methodology such as infomentis. This person must be able to demonstrate strong executive C level engagement, fostering trust based relationships that result in strong long term business partnerships with Oracle. This person must demonstrate strong leadership by influence skills as they will be required to leverage the wider Oracle organization to maximize success. Team player and contributor is of high importance for success, hence is very important and this person must be able to show this.
Personally engage (own the relationship) with Public Sector organizations to create and present compelling TCO and key business outcome proposals.
Create high value relationship based sustainable pipeline.
Create a mix of short, medium and long term opportunities.
Create net new relationships at C level in tier 1 companies throughout Australia for Oracle to foster net new opportunities for the future.
Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of Oracle VM & Oracle Linux and the market dynamics for targeted growth.
Forecast weekly with consistent accuracy of /- 5% with justification.
Deliver quota on target or above every quarter.
7-10 years’ experience in the IT industry managing Public Sector accounts
Ideal to have min 3 years’ experience selling Oracle Tech Software such as DB and Fusion MW.
Strong Contractual and legal exposure for negotiating customer terms.
Mandatory to Speak excellent English
Able to learn and understand product solutions and features with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to understand customer's industry and core business processes
Strong needs analysis, positioning, business justification and closing skills
Effective sales, marketing and project management skills
Ability to work in a team environment.
University degree MBA preferred.
Detailed Description and Job Requirements
The primary focus of an Inside Sales representative is to sell solutions and services to existing Oracle customers and to prospect for new customers in the assigned territory or vertical.
As an Internet Sales Representative you will sell products and services to an assigned geographic or national account base territory to achieve assigned objectives. Generates sales leads as well as closing the sales on line or by phone. Utilizes inbound and/or outbound calls to pursue sales. Develops account penetration strategies, and closes business . Responsible for understanding Oracle
- s product offerings and competitive issues. Identifies new business opportunities by creating and implementing territory campaigns with management assistance. Liaise with customer contacts for the purpose of managing the customer relationship, identifying new opportunities, and selling Oracle products and services. Participates as a team member on sales teams including field sales, support and education sales and sales consulting.
Duties and tasks are varied and are complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. Failure to obtain results would have serious consequences and need expenditure of resources. Contacts are within the organization and with external customers. May have project lead role and/or supervise lower level personnel. 5 years business experience. Proven ability to manage complex sales cycle, with a track record of successful revenue attainment. Excellent communication/negotiating/closing skills with customers/prospects. Typically bachelor degree in Business or Computer Science or equivalent.
