Who you are:
You will be installing/upgrading Mainframe environment.
Proven experience of Installing, customizing and maintaining IBM and other ISV Products related to automations.
Ensure that customer satisfactory levels are exceeded.
What you’ll do:
Will maintain and manage the AS 400 delivery and technical support.
Provide L2 and L3 level technical support, guidance and direction for products supported.
You will require to analyze and resolve cases at the earliest.
Ensure integrity of the supported environment.
Actively and pre-emptively determine possible faults and causes by the execution of pre-determined health and operational checks.
Manage and resolve problems identified by system administrators or monitoring software Work with change and problem management tools
Hardware/software fault detection and vendor liaison
Liaise with customer accounts as required
Analyze and resolve escalated problems within a target.
Investigate, identify and document proposals that will improve application recoverability.
Document and implement changes to technical standards as required.
Change and problem management targets are exceeded
Ensure that customer satisfaction levels are exceeded

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
• Proficient in OS/400 V5R4, V7.1 iSeries
• Backup, Restoration, Backup cycle follow, Tape Transfer to Off-Site storage
• Installation of PTF on iSeries servers.
• Proficient in FTP from Multiple AS/400, File transfer from PC to AS/400.
• Proficient in DR test activities
• Knowledge in CL programming
• Knowledge in OS Upgrades and migrations
Preferred Tech and Prof Experience
2+ years of experience on AS400 Operating System.
Proven experience in the ability to carry out L2 and L3 activities.
Maintain backup solutions and manage storage solutions.
Ability to pick up new areas and work on a Consultant Profile as well.
Work with team members and provide timely guidance as and when required.
