Who you are :

  • Should have knowledge of the fundamental concepts and technologies associated with Vmware Systems Support.

  • ·Should be capable of performing installation, implementation, customization, operation, recovery and performance tuning

What you’ll do:

  • Proven knowledge and experience with install, configure, managing & troubleshoot VMWare ESX Server

  • Administration experience for Microsoft Windows2003/2008/2012, Windows clustering and storage networks

  • Must have experience with PowerShell Scripting: Used Powershell to automate repetitive tasks and create reports used to validate project completion Vmware PowerCLI

  • Experience in the automated management of VMware infrastructure, including VM deployment, VM Post Deployment configuration snapshots, reconfigure VMs, automated changes to infrastructure configurations and VM policies, etc

  • Experience with Virtual Machine Buildout and Configuration to Secure Baseline Configuration (SBC) Security Compliance Standards Automated task with PowerShell

  • Should have experience with VM Template Manager (monthly patching, vulnerabilities, and infrastructure deployment scripted with PowerShell

  • Should have experience with ESXi VM Host Cluster Buildout, patching, and management Automated configuration of VM Host Builds with PowerShell and Plink scripts

  • Must possess system-level knowledge of the underlying operating system (Windows, UNIX)

  • Solid foundational knowledge in server, networking, archiving, security and storage disciplines

  • Proven knowledge of ITIL/ITSM service management practices, specifically incident management, change management and problem management

  • Experience in software development methodologies, processes & practices

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 5+ years’ experience with VMware ESXi, ESX 5.x, vCenter 5.x, vsphere. This experience should include the planning, deployment, configuration and administration of host systems and virtual machines

  • Proven experience in Troubleshoot, Upgrade ,design

  • Preferred UCS Skill.

  • Knowledge of storage concepts: SAN, NAS, SCSI, iSCSI, Fibre Channel, RAID, Storage Groups, volumes etc.

  • Experience in SAN connectivity for VMware ESX as well the guest operating systems

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • Configuration/Operability of Emulex/Qlogic HBAs

  • Proven understanding of MPIO on various operating systems.

  • Proven experience in designated products and components of VMware ESXi 5.x, 6.X which includes the following: vMotion, DRS, VMware HA/Clustering, Host Isolation, Virtual Center, SRM, vCops, VCO

  • Experience with P2V migrations

  • Experience in networking technologies which include virtual NICs and switches such as the Cisco Nexus 1000v and VMware vDS, heartbeat configurations, physical and virtual LAN topologies
