Instrument Technician, Norco LA Manufacturing Complex

As a Instrument Technician your responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Troubleshooting and making field repairs to safety shutdown systems
Troubleshooting and correcting ladder logic
Troubleshooting PLC control interfaces; level, flow and pressure measurement equipment; vibration measurement instrumentation; 240V equipment; and power generation and distribution equipment
Troubleshooting, repairing, calibrating, tuning and aligning controllers
Troubleshooting, calibrating and making field repairs to control valves, positioners, and actuators
Understanding of proper application of pressure rated piping/tubing fittings
Troubleshooting, calibrating, configuring and repairing electronic transmitters and DCS systems
Overhauling, repairing and calibrating displacer level controls
Using pressure test equipment
Troubleshooting, calibrating and repairing pressure switches and regulators
Maintain, troubleshoot and repair process analyzers (Gas Chromatographs, conductivity, PH, Oxygen)

Louisiana - Norco Refinery
Minimum of five (5) years of experience as an Instrumentation/Electrical Technician (2 years of which instrument maintenance work was performed) or relevant military experience
Must have prior experience in an instrumentation/electrical field in an industrial, manufacturing or military work environment
An NCCER certification or an Associates degree in Instrumentation is preferred
Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis now and in the future without requiring sponsorship
Must currently hold or be able to qualify to receive a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card. Note, information regarding TWIC qualification standards may be found at https://www.tsa.gov/for-industry/twic
Must be at least 18 years old
Must possess and maintain a current, valid license to operate a motor vehicle in the United States
Must be willing to take and achieve satisfactory results on Shell’s pre-employment testing battery
Must be willing to climb ladders, walk up and down steps, and work at heights with or without accommodation
Must be willing to work in compact and confined spaces with or without accommodation
Must be willing to work outside in inclement weather with or without accommodation
Must be willing to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime
