Position Summary:

Assist Supervisor/Manager and colleagues to ensure that business goals and objectives are achieved.

This role requires a high-degree of self-motivation, productivity and accuracy with little direct supervision.

Essential Functions:

  1. Physical work activities:

a.Picking, Packing and Manifesting orders

b.Receiving, Stocking and Cycle counting product.

c.Cleaning, straightening - maintaining 5s work areas

d.Standing, walking, lifting and using material handling equipment

up to 10 hours per day, 70 lbs. per box, forklifts and pallet jacks.

e.Maintain clean and safe work area- SAFETY FIRST

f.Work in and out of refrigerator at 32 degrees Fahrenheit

g.Arrive to work on time, work during scheduled work hours and work overtime as needed

h.Other duties as assigned by your Lead, Supervisor or Manager

  1. Communications: (verbal and written)

a.Timely and professional communication with employees, customers, vendors and upper management

b.Good written and verbal communication skills in English language

c.Accurately complete daily reports, forms and timely responses to e-mails or phone requests

d.End of day responsibilities to insure all orders are complete, picked up, manifested and post goods issue

e. Good role model to other employees demonstrating team work and good work ethics (TFS- four I's core values)

  1. Administration duties: (organization, planning, follow-up)

a.Monitor and maintain raw materials (shipping supplies) and place orders as need.

b.Accept all branch responsibilities when lead, supervisor/ manager is absent

c.Monitor, report and address safety issues or concerns throughout the day

d.Communicate with outside vendors for or with business needs- carriers, truckers, supply and maintenance vendors

e.Participate in PPI and Kaizen activities as requested

f.Timely completion of assigned on-line training modules.

g.The implementing recommendation of 9/11 commission act of 2007 mandates 100% screening of cargo at piece level,

originating in the US and transported on passenger aircraft, by August 2010. As a result, Thermo Fisher Scientific has

opted to become a self-screening facility Certified Cargo Screening Facility (CCSF). Part of the screening facility

assessment is Security Threat Assessments (STA) qualification and must adhered to. Potential new candidate must

be able to successfully complete the STA Certification process.
