CACI International DevOps Engineer in Norfolk, Virginia
CACI is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our team in Norfolk, VA to support a DOD customer.
What You’ll Get to Do:
Work with several departments inside and outside of IT, on a daily basis. Possess a high level of patience and professionalism when working with other employees who will have a varying range of computer competencies.
Develop and maintain documentation for installation and configuration procedures. Contribute to and maintain system standards.
Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks. Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale.
Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
Perform regular file archival and purge as necessary.
Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure / add new services as necessary.
Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning.
Build and Release engineering.
Automation of system configuration status accounting.
Automation of data collection and analytics across supporting services (e.g. data mining; asserting SLA status with metrics).
Operations and Change Management of resources.
System/Software Assurance for security topics of resources.
Experience and understanding of other CM versioning tools (e.g., Subversion, Git, Mercurial).
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
SECRET clearance - must be current.
DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification or higher (ex. CompTIA Security+, CASP, CISSP or related).
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and 5-7 years of related experience. Knowledge of Systems Administration.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
ITIL 2011 Foundation certification.
Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or Microsoft equivalent.
