CACI International MFOM System Administrator in Norfolk, Virginia
CACI is seeking an MFOM System Administrator to support a large contract at the Norfolk Naval Base in Norfolk, Va You’ll focus on applying interdisciplinary engineering skills in the technical planning, systems integration and verification for complex solution or products. What You’ll Get to Do:
Responsible for applying interdisciplinary engineering skills in the technical planning, systems integration, verification and validation, cost and risk and supportability and effectiveness analyses for complex solutions or products.
These solutions or products typically encompass non-information technology related engineering or scientific disciplines and may require hardware, aerospace, communications, cyber, electrical, manufacturing, mechanical, or other specialized engineering domain knowledge.
Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, and detailed trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into technical specifications.
More About the Role:
Expected to install, test, and debug new software or enhancements to existing software environments.
Travel to Naval installations to assist in application installations or upgrades to multiple classified and unclassified platforms.
Provide updates or create new installation and verification documentation for unique platforms.
Support all activities within the onsite test lab; Configuration Management, validation of application installers, support system test events and support the development teams with troubleshooting support.
Possesses a good understanding of complex business applications and can detect errors or needed modifications.
Assist users in the operation of the application. Provide guidance to less experienced programmer/analyst.
Creates/follows change management process including ownership of a documentation library, communication plans, process training, etc.
Work with the MFOM Tech Lead to establish develop procedures and processes to meet thresholds for system availability and associated action plans.
Ensure issues are documented, tracked, and reviewed through closure, and documented.
Support X-70 (Lab) maintenance activities, to include bi-monthly IAVA patching in all MFOM environments.
Support troubleshooting efforts with MFOM Tier III support.
Assists in monitoring servers resources (space, RAM, CPU) including removing obsolete data; maintains tracking and traceability of these items.
Manage the credentials to access all MFOM environments
Define quality attributes, external interfaces, constraints, and other nonfunctional requirements.
Develops or modifies procedures to support application installations and CM support.
Coordinate with SPAWAR CM/Design Teams/CM to support the Release process.
Communicate effectively with a wide variety of technical and non-technical audiences. Identifies, analyzes and defines project requirements and scope.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
US citizenship with active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent and five to seven years of related experience.
Experienced in phases of software life cycle design and development.
Familiar with IIS, JAVA, and Network communications.
Experience supporting applications that access Oracle and/or SQL server databases.
Strong analytical skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
Must be able to obtain 8570 certification if required
Security + Certification (Current or obtainable within 6 months)
Must have experience with working on operation/implementation teams.
At a minimum, familiarity with two or more of the following areas: Systems Implementation (Oracle, SQL Server, .NET, Web Applications)
Systems Development, Configuration or Testing

Work Experience in a Team Environment, must be able to motivate and provide leadership for staff to execute multiple project plans.
Must be able to calmly support a dynamic environment with multiple high priority tasks concurrently.
Excellent Client Management Skills.
An understanding of contemporary requirements elicitation, analysis, specification, verification, and management practices and the ability to apply them in practice; familiarity with requirements engineering books and resource
Working knowledge of Software Engineering Institute's (SEI) Capability Maturity Model Integrated (CMMI)
Experience with the Maintenance Figure of Merit (MFOM) suite of applications
Ability to interface with different personalities in a range of positions, including many at very senior levels.
Knowledge of Oracle/SQL databases
Familiar with Production Operations activities -“ patching, maintenance, Systems Administration, DBA, troubleshooting, software deployment, COOP activities, environment standup, system deployment, Microsoft and Unix OS/server management.
Will require access to various Remedy systems, Dimensions CM Tool for MFOM and NIAPS, NEDC NOLA Servers via CITRIX.
Familiarity with one or more Change/Configuration Management Tools.
Experience working with SPAWAR Datacenters Production, and SPAWAR Test environments.
Experience with SQL Developer or TOAD a plus.
Exposure to any of the following navy applications: MFOM, AWN, MRAS, ATM, MRAS, NMDR, NTCSS.
Experience in maintaining Navy Fleet Maintenance systems.
Experience maintaining web services.
