Job Summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced Supply / Logistics Specialist in support of Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center, Norfolk VA.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Performs a variety of warehousing duties, which require an understanding of the establishment's storage plan.

  • Verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages.

  • Routing materials to prescribed storage locations.

  • Storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods.

  • Rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials.

  • Examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage; removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment.

  • May operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.

  • Perform miscellaneous quality assurance duties including inspections, inventory process checks, inspecting and examining materials, article inspections, etc.

  • Responsible for inventory management of decentralized and decontrolled items, including supplies, and equipment.

  • Typical warehouse environment with no unusual hazards, frequent lifting to 20-60 pounds, kneeling, standing, and walking, routinely sitting and constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.

Minimum Requirements

  • General Experience: Minimum of three (3) years’ experience within the past 5 years in material warehousing procedures and practices pertaining to receiving, shipping, and inventory management

  • Specialized Experience: Minimum of one year experience within last 5 years of familiarity with U.S. Navy Supply System procedures

  • Four (4) years full time experience in Navy Integrated Logistic Support and System Life Cycle Support Areas.

  • Knowledge/understanding of DRMO & DLR processes.

  • Must have experience in research of DRMO and DLR items and completion of related forms.

  • Experience in completion of Form 1149s.

  • Experience with inventory functions and familiar with associated duties.

  • Ability to utilize computers including the Microsoft Office Suite for compiling information for reports and history files and transfer digital pictures from camera to computer and enhance as required and label them for report purposes.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.

  • Possess a current secret security clearance

  • Capable of obtaining a Common Access Card

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school degree or equivalent is desirable.
