Norfolk Southern Tax Accountant in Norfolk, Virginia
NOTE: This position will be based out of Norfolk, VA until June 2019 and then will be permanently relocated to Atlanta, GA.
Conducts tax accounting and performs analysis and audit in connection with federal, state and local tax activities for Norfolk Southern Corporation and subsidiaries.
Reviews income statement and balance sheet activity to determine proper tax treatment.
Supports special studies for the purpose of tax planning.
Assists in the development of income tax accruals and associated information in accordance with tax laws and regulations and related financial reporting.
Prepares support documentation for tax positions and responses to audit inquiries.
Prepares returns, payments, extensions, claims and related documentation.
Job Related Experience:
Preferred Level: 1-2 years
Preferred Level: Bachelor's Degree (BS, MS, MBA, BA)
