Merck 2021 Project Management, Change & Communications Intern in North Wales, Pennsylvania

The Global Regulatory Affairs and Clinical Safety (GRACS) Strategy & Business Operations (SBO) team in Upper Gwynedd, PA has an opportunity for an Intern who will work collaboratively in a team environment to assist in activities and deliverables focused on organizational and project-based change management as it relates to executive alignment/commitment, sponsorship, and communications efforts associated with design, development, execution, and realization of the GRACS organizational strategy. The intern will also contribute to developing improvements to existing communications and change management framework, process, and tool kits.
Primary activities include but are not limited to the following:
Conduct impact analysis and identify key stakeholders
Assist in developing project communication strategies and plans
Support the design, development, delivery, and management of project communications
Support the enhancement of online communication tools
We are seeking intern candidates at all levels with strong academic performance, communication skills, teamwork, and the ability to work in a multi- functional environment.
Required Education and Experience:
Candidates must be currently pursuing a college degree, preferably in related field (e.g., Business, English, Marketing/Communications).
Candidates must be available to work full-time for up to (12) weeks beginning in May or June of 2021.
Candidates must have basic computer proficiency with Windows-based applications (Excel, Word, Power Point). SharePoint a plus.
Candidates must be available for up to 5% travel when conditions permit.
Preferred Experience or Skills:
Candidates should have an understanding of the basic principles of communications.
Candidates should possess excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
