SUMMARY: Client Specialist for assigned accounts normally generating $25,000 or more in annual revenue. This role is part of the account management team that includes the Producer,Account Executive, and Account Specialist. All Account Management will be handled by this individual. This job is approximately 70% internal and 30% client interfacing – including frequent client discussions as necessary and participation in meetings / presentations to decision makers and employees. Comfortable conducting client meetings, employee meetings and employee webinars are essential.
In addition, this role includes Coordination and active participation in the advancement of Wellness drivers for clients assigned as well as other clients as requested.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work closely within a team environment including the Producer, Account Executive, assigned to the prospect to: gather, review and evaluate current benefit plans, financial data and funding arrangements;
Organize current data into a format that can be used to market the account and may be used as summary of key information about prospect; and
Meet with prospect as part of the team, as required.
New Clients and Current Clients: Working closely with the Producer and Account Executive to:
Prepare and manage a timeline for the implementation process;
Organize and conduct enrollment meetings;
Preparation of employee communication pieces;
Follow up for re-enrollment forms, reviewing contracts and summary plan descriptions;
Initiate, coordinate and actively handle client wellness program; and
Meet via conference calls or in person with the carriers and the client to stay on track and cover all aspects of implementation.
Follow through with assigned Account Executive or Producers on presented proposals to find out outcome;
Continuously expand knowledge within Wellness;
Participate on Stewardship presentations and meetings as directed by Account Executive or Practice Leader;
Update and maintain assigned accounts in our agency management system BenefitPoint;
Maintain client files to meet E&O guidelines as designed by management;
Preparation of the Annual Utilization Medical Scorecard with recommendations to curtail claim costs;
Provide ongoing consultation by answering administration questions, plan recommendations, discussing regulatory updates, assistance with escalated claim issues at the Client level, service issues with the carriers and serving as a resource to the client for all benefit related needs;
Determine if the client is a candidate for a health management plan/wellness plan. If so, make recommendations and provide active participation as required to achieve client’s Wellness goals;
Determine if the client is in need of an eligibility management system and/or employee self serve and/or static web portal for communication;
Follow-up on Schedule A Form 5500 from carriers and deliver to client; and
Work closely with Producer, Account Executive & Account Specialist on all assigned accounts.
Maintenance of Benefit Plans:
Maintain benefit plans through account management activities such as:
Regular contact and communication with the client, carriers and Producers;
Regularly reviewing financial information and continually alerting client to how the plan is running to set expectations;
Assist in preparation/presentation of monthly or quarterly claim review and presentation of claims in our formats. Work closely with Producer on all assigned accounts. QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS:
Must be extremely organized with exceptionally good math, written and oral communication, as well as technical skills, and be able to present well in front of a prospect or client,.
High School diploma, college degree preferred.
5 years’ experience in the Employee Benefits Insurance Industry preferred State appropriate Life / Health License required Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, knowledge of Benefit Point and ImageRight a plus
