Marsh & McLennan HR Generalist in Norwich, United Kingdom
As an HR Generalist you will be required to provide support to the HR Business Partners and Head of HR for Marsh. You may be required to manage your own client relationships and provide back-up, assistance and additional capacity to HRBP’s as required as well as managing certain lower level HRBP activities on a stand-alone basis.
Supports HRBP’s and/or management in the roll out of business and HR plans including human capital change initiatives, talent acquisition, retention, reward /recognition and execution of lower-level actions resulting from organization re-design
Supports senior colleagues who represent business in employee consultation or representation forums (where relevant)
Assist with select employee relations processes (i.e. disciplinaries, grievances, performance and flexible working practice meetings) including attending the formal meetings or taking notes at the meetings as required
Documents talent management activities including performance management, training, career development and diversity and inclusion activities
Build and maintain contacts across the HR function to ensure all transactional, operational and other needs are managed in a timely and seamless fashion. Liaise with HR colleagues as necessary to resolve issues or queries
Respond to manager/ colleague inquires and issues when the query does not obviously sit with HR shared services, or when it has been escalated from HR shared services
Completes all other colleague-related transactions executed by HR Shared Services on behalf of the client group
Coordinates the on-boarding, off-boarding and transfer process of colleagues as necessary
Supports the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) product and application roll-out within the client group
Advise and assist in the application of all HR related legislative requirements
Produce and analyse statistical information
Partners with HR Shared Services to provide meaningful analytics to the business which can be used to inform decision-making
Undertaking assigned HR Generalist activities in Workday
Coordinate the administration and activities of HR projects and initiatives across business area and HR QualificationsSkills & experience
Proven experience within a similar HR Generalist role supporting both senior HR colleagues and wider business colleagues Ability to communicate well across varying levels of stakeholders, both within HR and the wider Marsh business Case or HR policy writing experience is essential Experience of managing HR related projects CIPD part or fully qualified would be highly desirable but not essential Marsh is a global leader in insurance broking and risk management.
