Kaiser Permanente Associate Consultant, Event Planning and Management in Oakland, California
In this Associate Consultant role, you will be responsible for training event planning, vendor and management contracting, and managing the department budget process.
This position demonstrates in-depth practice, knowledge and skills, manages evaluation projects, and is accountable for the successful execution of project goals and analytical deliverables. At the highest level of the job family, shares in accountability of outcomes and performance for all regions and the enterprise in oversight areas and demonstrate in-depth practice, knowledge, and skills, manage projects and programs, and are accountable for the successful execution of goals that are aligned with the goals of CMI in promoting the KP National Quality Program.
Essential Functions:- Works on assignments of limited scope. - Follows standard practices and procedures. - Requires minimal planning and scheduling for activities that are already defined.- Consider appropriate computer skills necessary to perform job. - Under moderate supervision and guidance, prepare programming code, extract data from well-defined sources, calculate specified metrics, generate graphics, populate dashboards, charts and tables.- Attend meetings with implementation stakeholders to familiarize them with possible data source, and become familiar with rationale for project metrics.- Support collection of routine survey data or qualitative data.
Basic Qualifications:Experience- N/AEducation- Bachelor's degree, OR four (4) years of experience in a directly related field.- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.License, Certification, Registration- N/A Additional Requirements:- Entry level professional.- Some knowledge of policies, practices and systems.- Limited use and/or application of basic principles, theories, and concepts.- Limited knowledge of industry practices and standards.- Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience with basic accounting methods and budgeting processes. - Moderate experience using MS Excel.
- Experience with evaluating, selecting and contracting with hospitality/event properties for multi-day events.- Event management experience.
