AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Field Electrical Construction Inspection for immediate employment for projects in Sacramento and Oakland. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Work with a Caltrans Senior Engineer in Traffic Operations to inspect, troubleshoot and develop scope of work for the repairs needed on the various traffic operations field elements

  • Addressing the wire theft issues throughout District 4

  • Assist Caltrans with their service contracts for these repairs

  • Work with the contractors in the field and travel to various work locations in the Nine Bay Area Counties

  • Keep records of the work being performed and track the cost expenditures

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma

  • 10+ years of related experience in Traffic Operations Systems, inspection and troubleshooting the various TOS elements in the field, develop a scope of work for the service contracts and work with the Contractors on the repairs

  • Demonstrated field experience for performing Engineering Technician Work in the electrical field

  • Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and flexibility to travel for work throughout the Nine Bay Area Counties

  • Due to the nature of this work, qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
