Kaiser Permanente Senior Analyst - National Market Research in Oakland, California
Responsible for driving voice of the customer into KP (external & internal voice). Look into how to do a better job of retaining existing employers/members and how to do a better job of attracting new employers/member groups. Provides support for the Health Plan & Medical Groups in terms of monitoring performance and providing new insights into customer needs. Focus areas include: Market position, Product Development, Brand position, Advertising evaluation, service performance/customer satisfaction, Sales & Marketing performance. Provide research support to Senior Leadership to help guide strategic & tactical decisions.
Provide analysis, coordination, and communication support to market research projects on a corporate office, regional, and interregional level.
Support the analysis of market research results from regions, vendors, corporate office.
Participate in and support the design of market research projects.
Support the performance of in-depth, high level analyses on selected regional and national research projects.
Support the development of effective communication of market research findings.
Support the effort to identify new methodologies and trends in market research.
Support the coordination of training seminars and interregional meetings for Program market research professionals.
Support the interaction with vendors to ensure that projects are cost effectively implemented.
Provide technical assistance to Program staff in the planning, execution, and analysis of market research studies.
Perform simple to moderately complex data analysis and manages & constructs databases (running cross tab analysis, significance testing, etc).
Perform and investigates simple causal analyses.
- Bachelor's degree with minimum two (2) years of related experience.
License, Certification, Registration
Intermediate level of quantitative skills including understanding of probability, sampling, and descriptive and inferential statistics.
Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills.
Working knowledge of primary research methods.
Some knowledge of data analysis software.
General application of market research and/or marketing concepts and principles.
Full use and application of standard marketing principles, theories, concepts, and techniques.
Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
Bachelor's degree with minimum three (3) years of related experience, OR one (1) year with a master's degree (strongly preferred).
Knowledge of health care industry dynamics and trends preferred.
