Billing and Payment Associate
Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Performs low to moderate complex billing-related research, reconciles transactions with the billing system, and coordinates settlements. Examples include researching and applying/handling payments or refunds, resolving problems related to financial transactions, and resolving billing or banking discrepancies.
Acts within approved Authority limits as specified by business.
Accurately analyze, research, and process all payments and other transactions within established timeframes.
Corresponds with customers, agents, Business Centers and financial institutions.
Resolves inquiries from internal customers, business unit owners, financial institutions and/or vendors.
Prepares and sends written correspondences to customers and/or financial institutions.
Demonstrates the understanding and actively participates in a culture where operation activities are focused on a positive customer experience and are balanced with operational efficiencies.
Participates in Team Meetings.
Partners with co-workers to achieve overall performance and quality goals.
May assist in basic analytics pertaining to financial transactions; including obtaining, assembling, and evaluating data.
May assist in preparation of financial reports.
May prepare journals entries where necessary.
Shares process and tasks knowledge with others.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Specific & Technical Skills & Competencies:
Basic customer service skills.
Basic word and excel experience.
Under moderate supervision, you will perform entry to intermediate level billing, remittance application, and/or customer service functions. You will also perform standard and routine assignments independently to conclusion; unusual problems which may require exceptions to procedures or processes are referred to the Manager, Billing Operations.
College diploma or University degree preferred.
Education, Work Experience & Knowledge:
College diploma or University degree or 1 year billing/collections work experience preferred.
General large volume transaction experience preferred.
Basic knowledge of payment processing.
Operates standard office equipment
Continuously Sitting (Can stand at will)
Continuously Use of Keyboards, Sporadic 10-Key - Continuously
High school diploma or equivalent required.
