Claim Service Representative- CISS (14 month contract)
Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Accountable for providing a high level of customer service, by explaining the claim process. Evaluates the
information provided on new claim reports to ensure the accurate assignment to Claim Professionals.
Answers telephones professionally and responds to routine questions, re-routes calls as required.
Gathers information on new and existing claims. Documents the information in the electronic claim file, as
required by Travelers Canada file standards, for the purpose of determining cover and evaluating the scope of the
loss, as well as assisting in determining additional steps required in the claim handling process.
Provides meaningful information to callers in order to assist Claim Professional in adhering to Travelers Canada
customer service standards.
Authorizes, processes and documents Glass claims and issues payments promptly according to company
Guidelines. Obtains appropriate authority if required, to maximize loss cost management.
Required to work various shifts within the business hours of the Call Center.
Performs other tasks as assigned to ensure the delivery of outstanding and cost effective claim service.

Job Specific & Technical Skills & Competencies:
Ability to work in a high volume, very fast pace environment, managing multiple priorities.
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines.
Attention to detail to ensure accuracy is critical.
Familiar with Microsoft office products. Keyboarding skills, basic math reading and writing skills. Ability to effectively
communicate professional by telephone.
Have good interpersonal skills, and strong decision making skills.
Claim, Customer Service
Under moderate supervision, this role is responsible for providing a high level of customer service to all
policyholders and callers.
Accurately captures claims reports received by brokers, insured's and third parties.
Services callers with regards to new claims and inquiries, and then documents the claims files accurately.
May create, evaluate, and pay windshield claims. Provides efficient and professional service to all customers.
This job does not lead staff
Education, Work Experience & Knowledge:
High School Diploma with one year of claims clerical support, office related or customer
service experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Bi-lingual in English and French is an asset.
Enrolment in C.I.P program is an asset
Minimum qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent
