DynCorp International LLC. Vehicle Logistician in OCONKABUL, Afghanistan
The Vehicle Logistician is responsible for all vehicle logistical support, distribution, and accountability of assigned security office’s armored (AV) and unarmored (UAV, soft skin) vehicle programs.
Principal Accountabilities (Typical duties include the following, although specific duties vary by assignment or contract)
Support program for all vehicle relevant operational use while at the same time maintaining proper accountability.
Maintain an active and accurate record of all assigned vehicles and vehicle equipment to include medical kits and other special protective equipment (SPE).
Manage and report on status of regularly scheduled fleet maintenance and repairs.
Manage the delivery and disposals of AV as they enter and exit their useful life.
Monitor and report on the installation and scheduling of all of vehicle suspension, power, electronic countermeasure and tactical radios upgrades while maintaining proper accountability of special vehicle equipment.
Maintain a vehicle inventory tracking database ensuring accurate vehicle configuration and locations are maintained.
Coordinate with program to track incoming AV arriving in-country, and monitor and facilitate the registration process to properly register AV in a timely manner to be put into operational use.
Additional duties may include, vehicle procurement (drafting and reviewing documents), receiving, shipping, maintenance scheduling/tracking, repairs scheduling/tracking, serviceability, fuel logs, dispatch records, transfer of vehicles, and maintain an active and accurate record of all vehicles assigned to protective operations. Knowledge & Skills (Typical duties include the following, although specific duties vary by assignment or contract)
Ability to coordinate budgets and logistics between various offices.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Basic knowledge of, protective equipment, equipment inventories.
Ability to solve problems and reconcile discrepancies as they arise.
Strong oral and written skills.
Experience & Education
A minimum of six (6) months experience in protective operations, general administrative, or customer service required.
High school diploma or equivalent.
4/4 English language required.
Physical Requirements/Working Environment
Work in an austere environment
