DynCorp International LLC. Forklift Operator in OCONKANDAHAR, Afghanistan
The Forklift Operator is responsible for safe and effective operation of a Skytrak 10042 Forklift, a JLG 2505 Forklift, a CAT EP20CN Forklift or equivalent model.
(Typical duties include the following, although specific duties vary by assignment or contract)
Responsible for vertical movement for logistic operations to/from trucks and trailers and proper store
Clean, maintain and secure all equipment as directed by policies and procedures
Close interaction with the military for the movement of materials, supplies, equipment and setting
Operate heavy equipment in a safe and effective manner in order to minimize the risk of injury, property damage or loss of life
Perform daily safety and maintenance checks
Clean equipment as scheduled and/or required
Ensure equipment is safely and securely stored
Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge & Skills
Driver’s license required
Knowledge of equipment safety, equipment maintenance and storage
Analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to work with limited supervision
Level four (4) English.
Experience & Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum three (3) years of experience as a forklift operator
Physical Requirements/Working Environment
Ability to lift 50 lbs., bend, stoop and have ability to work around equipment, materials, supplies and other items required for movement
Ability to work extended hours seven days a week for long periods of time
Living and working conditions at the assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable.
Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally
Must have ability to obtain and maintain US security clearance at proper level
