DynCorp International LLC. Heavy Vehicle Mechanic Logistician in OCONUS, Kuwait
TheHeavy Vehicle Mechanic Logistician performs repairs and maintains a variety of heavy equipment including, but not limited to, heavy trucks, trailers, cranes, forklifts, container handlers, back-hoes, trenchers, loaders, graders, scrapers, compactors, dozers, skid steers, and associated equipment.
(Typical duties include the following, although specific duties vary by assignment or contract.)
Provide strong, visible, and effective input for optimizing all vehicle and equipment maintenance functions program-wide.
Lead inter-departmental task forces charged with improving vehicle and equipment maintenance functions in support of program.
Assists in the development of maintenance related sub-contracts as well as in the vendor selection and subsequent evaluations.
Monitors and reports the operational ready rates for vehicle and equipment fleets and directs corrective actions when satisfactory rates are not attained or maintained.
Prepares reports, analyzes data, and makes recommendations for improving operations and solving maintenance related problems.
Directs, maintains, and enforces the safety program for the maintenance department; reviews safety records to uphold standards of maximum safety for all maintenance personnel.
Replace seals and bearings, axel brakes, and crane rigging
Provide input and data for processing work orders, invoices, equipment repair records, and activity reports
Adhere to all established safety policies and standards to include identification, use, and proper procedures for handling or disposal of hazardous waste
Coordinate with program to track incoming AV arriving in-country, and monitor and facilitate the registration process to properly register AV in a timely manner to be put into operational use.
Additional duties may include, vehicle procurement (drafting and reviewing documents), receiving, shipping, maintenance scheduling/tracking, repairs scheduling/tracking, serviceability, fuel logs, dispatch records, transfer of vehicles, and maintain an active and accurate record of all vehicles assigned to protective operations.
Knowledge & Skills
Experience in a high volume, international operational environment.
Working knowledge of modern principles of efficient maintenance management.
Knowledge of maintenance program optimization, implementation of best industry practices, and change management.
A demonstrated commitment to sound financial management, efficiency, and the principled pursuit of established objectives.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are necessary. Ability to develop and execute effective strategies.

Experience & Education
Minimum 4years’ experience in maintenance or related field required.
Prior military logistics and maintenance experience preferred.
Experience in the support of contingency operations is preferred.

refrigeration air-conditioning certification preferred
Physical Requirements/Working Environment
o This position will be assigned overseas locations where living and working conditions at assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable, with long hours, exposure to weather, dust, and hazardous/harsh conditions
