What You’ll Get to Do: Administer multiple SQL Server databases including storage management, backup/restore, performance, and security. Establish database parameters that maximize database performance. Write database documentation, including data standards, procedures and definitions for the data dictionary (metadata). Control access permissions and privileges Ensure that storage and archiving procedures are functioning correctly. Conduct capacity planning. Communicate regularly with technical, applications and operational staff to ensure database integrity and security. Clone application environments. Ensure availability of related application technology (e.g., web services, applications, batch processors, job schedulers, etc.). Provide Tier III support for the application technology stack. Apply application, security, and database patches. Migrate new software code and break fixes.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications: Working knowledge administering SQL Server databases. Experience managing user accounts and passwords. Experience managing multiple servers and environments. Ability to quickly identify and resolve database connectivity issues. Working knowledge of database architecture including but not limited to performance tuning, security, stored procedures, imports/exports, backup/restore, and database normalization. Requires technical knowledge of SQL Server typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. Typically has a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 3 years of related work experience.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have: Knowledge supporting the databases associated with Deltek Time and Expense, and Govwin preferred.
