Transdev Bilingual Reservation Specialist - Intelliride in Omaha, Nebraska

Takes customer calls and preauthorizes customer rides using a computerized scheduling system. Performs day of service dispatch duties as needed.
Working on location Monday through Friday 8AM - 5PM
Receive phone and online requests for services, screen each request, and if approved, assign the trip to the appropriate NET provider.
Follow system and procedures to ensure consistent application of criteria for approval decisions.
Check Transdev email account for important staff updates.
Abide by policies and procedures provided in the Training Manual.
Attempt to resolve client concerns while on the phone, but if they are unable or are asked to escalate a call to a supervisor, manager, etc they may escalate the call to a reservation specialist team lead. If no reservation specialist team lead is available, the RS must document this on the client record and then escalate the call to a supervisor.
May take Bilingual calls at times, Spanish speaking a plus

Education, Licensing, and Certifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent, such as GED, required
- 1 year or more of customer service experience preferred.
Skills and Knowledge Required:
Ability to read, comprehend and understand maps
Ability to read, understand, interpret, and explain transit system operating rules, regulations, policies, phases and routes
Basic math, writing, and computer skills
Ability to communicate via telephone with clear speech and a pleasant phone manner
- Must submit to drug testing and a background check
Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
100% of work is accomplished indoors and in air conditioned or well ventilated facilities
Work is accomplished in an office or in a cubicle space equipped with a telephone and computer.
The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
