Position Description

Operations associate in this role will be responsible to provide support for the operations team by handling clerical and office duties for the operations team as well as the role of purchaser.

Purchasing:

in this role refers to the execution of processes to acquiring goods or services to accomplish the goals of the infusion network. This position is responsible for issued purchase orders for supplies, services, equipment, and raw materials that are required by the infusion network. Position will be responsible to ensure efforts are employed to decrease the administrative costs associated with the repetitive ordering of basic consumable items, and where possible to ensure that master" agreements are put into place to ensure good cost management practices

Section A —

Specific Duties

  • Manage the purchasing requirements for the network by issuing purchase orders for supplies, services, equipment, and raw materials that are required by the infusion network

  • Implement and negotiate and manage master agreements nationally where possible.

  • Operations associate will forward phone calls to superiors and take messages from important clients.

  • Schedule appointments, type letters and keep track of important information regarding employees and clients, usually via computer.

  • Assist with billing, collections and payroll as required

  • Assists with reporting functions in collaboration with the business analyst

  • Collaborate with the Sr Operations and IT teams to ensure business needs are met as well as effective use, maintenance and development of the systems in place for the network nationally.

Section B —

General Duties

  • Monitor purchasing and operations budget performance and create file systems to track and report

  • Coordinate meetings and reports as required

  • Identify and coordinate activities with nursing, and senior management, while collaborating with other department Managers to share information formally and informally.

  • Follow all McKesson Canada Guidelines, Policies and Procedures as they relate to general policies, IT policies.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Diploma in business administration, purchasing or equivalent experience.

  • 3 or more year’s previous operational associate experience in a clinical medical or customer service environment with proven organization and communication abilities.

  • Strong communication skills, able to manage client relationships with a proven track record of exceptional customer service.

  • Effective communication written and verbal skills, with a strong focus on business communication.

  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office.

  • High level of integrity, confidentially, and accountability.

  • Sound planning and organizational skills, as well as be able to think on your feet.
