The hospital has 170 private rooms. There are nine labor, delivery and recovery room suites for new mothers and a seven-bed, Level-2 neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) for premature babies and those born with special needs. There is also a 24-bed psychiatric unit, 20-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit and 20 intensive care unit (ICU) beds. Intrigued?

Qualifications We are searching for a Registered Nurse PRN for our Behavioral Health/ Psychiatric unit. The Behavioral Health / Psychiatric RN is responsible to the Nursing Director/Charge Nurse for the delivery of quality patient care utilizing the nursing process. Apply your nursing knowledge derived from education and experience as foundation for patient care, communication, and documentation on the unit.

Essential Core Functions: * Provide quality patient care, in keeping with the philosophy and objectives of the hospital and department.

  • Maintain and support the standards of nursing care and practice in order to meet the health care needs of patients, their families and the community.

  • Prescribes, delegates and coordinates all nursing care provided to assigned patients and is responsible for meeting all standards associated with performance, nursing practice and nursing care. Qualifications: You should have:

  • Current State of Florida RN License required, or recognized compact licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions)

    Licensure/Certification/Registration:

    Most possess a current license as a registered Nurse to practice in the State of Florida.

    BLS – Healthcare provider on hire (American Hear Association)

    CPI- must be completed within 90 days of hire and then every calendar year.

    Education:RN Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

    Experience: Experience in Behavioral Health preferred.

    Special qualifications: Effective communication skills; both orally and written. Computer skills needed. Ability to manage a team and work with others within a team to ensure quality patient care. Strong problem solving skills.
